I’m a simple not so smart as your mom who can foretell the future. I don’t know what’s right or wrong about Isreal-Palestine conflicts because nothing is clear cut. All I know is when young before schooling age, my house was attap hut with raw earth flooring and we birth by a well. We took well water home for consumption. We used candles and pressure lamps at night. When I reached Primary school our house had zinc roof and we had a community tap with portable water. In Secondary School we moved into SIT rental apartment with taps and lightings. In Sec 4 we bought our own HDB flat and for the first time we had proper floor finish although it was only linoleum. After HSC I went into NS. After that I started working then I got married and bought my own HDB 5 room ceramic floors. I had a series of promotions and reached management level and was able to buy a semi-D.
It’s called progress. If LKY sold his soul to the devil, he did it for me, my family, and many of my friends’ families who progressed as the country developed. I wonder what your mom did for anyone.
